约翰·莫里斯，M。.F.A.

John Morris is an artist currently residing just south of Atlanta, Georgia with his wife and often times collaborator Christina Ayala. He holds an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a BFA from the University of Georgia. Morris enjoys working in a variety of mediums, 包括摄影, 画, 和雕塑, with the central themes in his work usually stemming from his interest in contemporary pop culture and the desire to initiate discussions on craft, and the participation of the viewer, in the art making process, to questions concerning representation. Over the last decade he has exhibited extensively throughout the US and he has also exhibited abroad, most recently at the CICA Museum in South Korea. His work was recently included in the book “Cosa Mentale: Art et tlpathie au XXe sicle” the catalog accompanying the exhibit at the Pompidou Metz in France of the same name. You may also find his work in The Drawing Center’s Viewing Program in New York City. John Morris is serving as an Assistant Professor of Art at the University of West Georgia.
